About Me

Psychotherapy is most effective when there is a good match between therapist and client.

While I continuously educate myself and maintain ongoing training, mostly, my job is to be attuned to you. What does that look like? Well, it depends on you; what you’re feeling, dreaming, thinking and desiring in your life. Our work might include experiences of sadness, grief, anger, anxiety, trauma, regression, humor, laughter and joy. Psychotherapy isn’t just about feeling all of the painful stuff, it’s really about reunifying you with all of the parts of yourself you may have tucked away and forgotten–that includes joyful and lively aspects–so that you can be more alive and vital in your life and relationships today.

All of my professional training, but especially my current training as an Analyst Candidate at the CG Jung Institute of San Francisco, bolster and deepen this approach to the work. I very much welcome patient dreams, images, somatic experiences and make space for the use of art materials in my consulting room.

I welcome folks of all identities to my practice. As a straight, white, cis-gendered woman, I am interested in, and curious about, the ways my identities, and those of my clients, live in the work between us. To support this type of work, I have received training on issues of identity and “otherness,” and actively work on issues related to my own privilege. I invite conversation and discussion about my clients’ experiences of me around these, and all other issues. I understand that there are times when a client intentionally seeks a therapist with identities which differ from mine. In such cases, I am happy to connect folks to trusted colleagues.
