Malidomo Some, West African Shaman, was instrumental in helping the family understand schizophrenia differently.

This article from 2016 just came to my attention. It’s a fascinating story about a father and his son, diagnosed schizophrenic as a young man, and their journey toward a deeper, more holistic, culturally appropriate understanding of the young man’s struggles.
